I woke up this morning thinking about shopping in Brazil and how most of the stores don't have doors, just big gates they pull down at night. One of the things I like the most about that country is that everything seems open, and inviting. The doors to homes are open, the windows are open. No screens, just wooden shutters to shut at night. I like that. I like the tile on the floors of every room and one the walls of the kitchen and bathrooms. I like the granite counter tops in every home. I like breakfasts of fresh rolls, meat and cheese and fresh coffee. I like the simple way of living where "things" don't seem to matter as much.
